Renal artery stenosis. US evaluation
Learning Objectives:
-
Understand the pathophysiology of hypertension secondary to renal artery stenosis (RAS)
-
Describe how to perform a Doppler ultrasound study for the diagnosis of RAS and recognize its pitfalls
-
Recognize ultrasound parameters (e.g., peak systolic velocities, renal-aortic ratio) for diagnosing RAS
Contrast enhanced Ultrasound for the Bosniak classification of renal cysts
Learning Objectives:
-
Describe the imaging features used to evaluate renal cysts
-
Describe the Bosniak classification using CEUS
-

-
Confirmation of the characteristic enhancing patterns in RCN
-
Evaluation of urinary tract anatomy and urologic complications
-
Guidance for interventional procedures, such as biopsies or fine-needle aspiration of collections; and assessment of post-biopsy
