- Credentials: Prof. MD, PhD. Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timișoara, Romania. Visiting professor to the Shanghai University since 2025.
- Specialty/Focus: Ultrasound, hepatology and gastroenterology. Research focuses on evaluating liver stiffness through ultrasound shear wave elastography, measuring liver fat content using advanced ultrasound techniques and CEUS (Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound) in the liver and abdomen.
- Education/Training: Finished medical training at University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara and medical speciality (first internal medicine, later gastroenterology/hepatology) training also in Timisoara. Also received training in France (Strasbourg), and Dallas (Baylor University)

- Professional Philosophy on Ultrasound: Ultrasound is a simple and good method, used by all medical specialities. Clinicians and radiologists use this method to solve the cases, with easy access and quick answers. Starting early the ultrasound training (for students and fellows) can increase their confidence in diagnosis. Development of ultrasound devices recently make this method very attractive and with a good future.
