Steatotic Liver Disease in Clinical Practice: What Really Matters?
Learning objectives:
- Explain the current classification of steatotic liver disease
- Recognize the key clinical aspects and complications of steatotic liver disease relevant for patient management
- Introduce the practical diagnostic algorithms for the evaluation of patients with suspected steatotic liver disease, as per the major guidelines in the field (EASL/AASLD/APASL)

Diagnosis - B-mode ultrasound
Learning Objectives:
- To identify key sonographic signs of steatotic liver disease, including parenchymal hyperechogenicity and deep attenuation.
- To differentiate between mild, moderate, and severe hepatic steatosis using B-Mode subjective criteria.
- To evaluate the diagnostic advantages and limitations of standard B-Mode imaging compared to advanced quantitative ultrasound techniques.

SPEAKER
Dr. Giovanna Ferraioli
Dr. Ferraioli is a researcher at Department of Clinical, Surgical, Diagnostic and Pediatric Sciences, University of Pavia (Italy).
