Newer techniques such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and elastography have further expanded its diagnostic power, allowing more precise characterization of liver lesions and tissue stiffness. For Prof. Dr. Popescu, ultrasound functions like a "third hand" — an extension of clinical judgment that grows sharper and more reliable with experience, guiding decisions right at the patient's bedside.
