PSUCMI 21st Annual Convention and 25th Anniversary Celebration on March 17-18, 2023
The Philippine Society of Ultrasound in Clinical Medicine Inc (PSUCMI) just recently concluded its onsite 21st Annual Convention last March 17-18, 2023 at the Century Park Hotel, Manila. The theme of the convention was “Meeting Today’s Challenges with Innovative and Intelligent Ultrasound”.
Relevant topics in the practice of ultrasound were given by both local and foreign speakers. Relevant topics in the use and application of Artificial Intelligence in ultrasound practice in various disciplines and medical subspecialties were presented.
Workshops on Point of Care Lung Ultrasound was organized by the Philippine Society of Resuscitation and Emergencies as well as ultrasound guided vascular access cannulation organized by the Philippine Society of Ultrasound in Surgery. Hands-on sessions in OBGYN , Gastrointestinal and Breast Ultrasound were also included in the scientific program.
The event was well attended with a total of 156 registrants from various medical background and specialties such as Radiology, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Rheumatology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics to name a few. Allied medical professionals such as Radiologic Technologists and Nurses were also present during the convention.
The convention was well received by the attendees with a very positive response based on the post- convention analysis.
