Due to increasing demands for education and training in ultrasonography, World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology has established its First “WFUMB Center of Excellence” in Dhaka in 2004. Bangladesh Society of Ultrasonography is the First WFUMB Affiliate to receive this honor. The aims of the WFUMB COE are to provide education and training in medical ultrasonography. Since 2015, it is renamed as ‘WFUMB Center of Education’ and so far twenty such centers are in work throughout the Six Continents.
The 25th WFUMB COE Workshop will be held on 23 April 2021, Friday and 30 April 2021, Friday on Breast Ultrasonography. First day is for Breast Ultrasound: Basics and Second day is for Breast Ultrasound: Diagnostic. A Competent Faculty of the Bangladesh Society of Ultrasonography will deliver lectures. It is Corona-time, so the program will be Virtual Zoom Meetings.
